Beam to PC

1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Beam to PC handles information when you use the app. Beam to PC is designed to send short ASCII text from an Android device to a Windows PC using Bluetooth HID keyboard input.
Beam to PC does not require a PC-side app, does not require an internet connection, and does not use cloud synchronization.

2. Information the App Handles
Beam to PC may temporarily handle the following information on your device:
- Text that you type into the app.
- Text that you share to the app using Android share features.
- Clipboard text that is loaded into the Beam Panel when you tap the Floating Beam button.
- The name of the connected PC or Bluetooth device, shown to help you confirm the target device.
- App settings such as whether Floating Beam is enabled and the floating button position.
Beam to PC uses text only for the purpose of sending it to your connected PC as Bluetooth keyboard input. The app does not upload this text to any server.
3. Clipboard Handling
If Floating Beam is enabled, tapping the floating button opens a small Beam Panel. The app may read the current clipboard text at that time and place it into the editable text field.
- The app does not read the clipboard continuously.
- The app does not read the clipboard immediately when you copy text.
- The app reads clipboard text only when you intentionally open the Beam Panel by tapping Floating Beam.
- You can edit or clear the text before tapping
Beam.
4. How Text Is Sent to Your PC
Beam to PC sends text to your connected Windows PC using Bluetooth HID keyboard input. This means the app sends key input to the currently focused field on your PC.
Beam to PC does not copy text to the PC clipboard and does not read or control the PC screen.
- The app cannot detect the current cursor position on your PC.
- The app cannot confirm which PC field is focused.
- You should select the desired input field on your PC before tapping
Beam.
5. Data Collection and Sharing

6. Permissions
Beam to PC may request the following Android permissions, depending on your Android version and enabled features:
Bluetooth permissions
BLUETOOTH_CONNECT— used to connect to and communicate with Bluetooth devices.BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE— used for Bluetooth HID device behavior.BLUETOOTH_SCAN— used only if the app provides device discovery features.
Overlay permission
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW— used only when you enable Floating Beam, so the app can show a small button over other apps.

7. Data Retention and Deletion
Beam to PC does not save a history of beamed text.
- Text loaded into the Beam Panel is held temporarily in memory.
- Text is cleared after sending, canceling, stopping, or closing the relevant screen.
- The app does not create a user account, so there is no account data to delete.
- You can delete local app settings by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
8. Security
Beam to PC is designed to minimize data exposure:
- No internet permission is requested.
- No cloud transfer is used.
- No text history is stored.
- The connected PC name is shown before sending to help prevent sending to the wrong device.
- Text is sent only after you tap
Beam.
Please note that text is typed into whichever field is currently focused on your PC. Always check the target field on your PC before sending.
9. Children’s Privacy
Beam to PC is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require account registration or collect data from users.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app changes. When updates are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
If future versions add features such as analytics, advertising, cloud sync, or additional permissions, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are released.
